    Backbending, or rather full body bending, as we often use much more than just our spine, is an integral part of any asana practice. Those of us who experience tightness in the back often either skim this part of our practice or avoid it altogether.In a backbend focused class we will look at various poses and explore how to come into them in safe and mindful way.

  • Pilates Trapeze Table/Cadillac Training March 17th, 23rd, 24th, 2012 | Instructor: Laura Weston-Jabali

    Cadillac training includes instruction on equipment safety and set up, exercises for beginning through advanced level clients, and incorporating the exercises into a complete workout for Pilate's personal training or circuit training classes. The Cadillac is excellent for teaching the principles to new clients, refining movement patterns for post rehabilitation and challenging your most advanced students.

  • Blissful Birthing: Prenatal and Active Birth Workshop March 24th, 2012| Instructor: Eva and Dru

    This practical workshop will show you how prenatal yoga can help you prepare for the birthing process and how to cope with labour and birth with less reliance on drugs. You will have a chance to explore a variety of positions, movement, breathing, and other strategies that can help you cope with contractions. You will also learn about how fear affects labour and uterine muscles, the part the baby plays in its own birth, and how to support your body’s process and work with whatever the journey brings to you.

  • Pilates Mat 1 Course Training March 29th, 30th and 31st, 2012| Instructor: Laura Weston Jabali

    Mat 1 includes an introduction to the history and principles of Pilates, pre-Pilates, beginning and intermediate level exercises with modifications, lectures on class order and programming in a group setting, and guidelines for teaching seniors and pre / post-natal classes.

  • Pilates Chairs and Barrels Training April 13th - 14th & 20th - 21st, 2012| Instructor: Laura Weston-Jabali

    Pilates Chair training includes an introduction to the Pilates Combo, EXO and Wunda Chairs, as well as instruction on the complete repertoire for beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Using the Chair for sports specific conditioning along with programming sports specific conditioning along with programming for personal training and group classes is included.

    Yoga Arts have been Teaching Yoga for 25yrs and specialising in Teacher Trainings for more then 16, YA locations are Bali, India, Sri Lanka, Japan & Byron Bay. This will be the 2nd Training in Dubai. Hosted by Zen Yoga. It is a Yoga Alliance accredited 200hr Level 1 Training.This is a fantastic opportunity to study with the Yoga Arts’ team of teachers, who each have between 10 and 35 years of teaching experience and dedicated practice behind them. Many of Zen Yoga and Dubai’s most well loved teachers are graduates of Yoga Arts 200-hr trainings – Line, Laura, Cheryl, Paula, Sascha, Rola, and Paul.
